Does anyone have an older version of Archlinux Arm?

Postby ouchyoung » Mon Jun 24, 2013 9:20 am

I found the newest version of ArchLinuxArm doesn't support mldonkey very well (I cannot get a HighID on my device anymore), so anyone has an older version (distributed around July, 2012 would be OK) please help me, thanks a lot! It would be better if you also have the compiled version of mldonkey for Seagate Goflex Home ^-^. Thank you ~

I'm also interested in how to get an older version of Arch Linux Arm. Is there a flag in the pacman command you can just punch in?

Don't mean to hijack your thread. Just thought older versions should still be on the server, where ever pacman is getting stuff from.

LOL, not hijacking at all... Actually I checked with the server at http://archlinuxarm.org/os, no older version was found there

We're a rolling distro, this is expected.

I see. Is there a way to get the old OS from a repository some where to install? The repository is kind of a mystery to me. Is it doing some stuff besides serving up files? Is it checking dependencies and making sure what you have would be compatible, or is that all done on the client end?

That is all at the client end.

I think the repository only provides us with the newest versions of softs, with the newest lists of softs it provides. The clients download the lists first and then check with itself to find out which softs need to be updated.

I have a tarball from november 22 (at least that's what "ls" tells me. Will have it uploaded to dropbox shortly) only i don't think it will help . You need to figure out what the problem really is.
Here you go: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/150 ... est.tar.gz
