kernels are NOT able to boot via tftp since 2 years

Postby Sagittarius » Sun Jul 07, 2013 3:20 pm

Archlinux has NO kernel able to boot via tftboot on the Dockstar since 2 years. Debian has.
How can we help ?

The kernel is loaded but the Dockstar probably crashes

The only way is to use an alternate kernel here: http://www.xilka.com/sheeva/3/3.9/3.9.0/release/2/ with its own modules archive file. But this kernel has not modules for eg. ath9k_htc.

So how can Archlinux has a decent kernel that boots reliably by tftp ?

Have you ever tried hooking up a serial to see what is going on, versus netconsole, which does not show everything in the boot chain?

Also, 2 years? Why not speak up before then?
