Graphic settings

Postby Jack » Fri Sep 13, 2013 7:14 am

Good Morning,

i´m not shure if im right here.

I have a new Raspberry Pi B and I install Arch Linux ARM with XFCE 4 as xorg.
The Problem is the resolution. I have a 27 inches monitor with 1920 x 1080.
When I start xorg the resolution is 1848 x 980 this is not correct.
How I can change the resolution for xorg ?

Many thanks

Xfce and xorg are 2 completely different things.

Edit your config.txt to disable hdmi overscan

Another thing to look at is your settings in xorg.conf, if you want a different resolution in xorg applications than for command line.
