I can’t get “IP6=dhcp” to work with static IPV4 address

Postby jeajea » Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:42 pm

On both Pogoplug V2 and Zyxel NSa 325 when I add
iP6=dhcp
The first IPV4 address in the “Address=” is not configured and the

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'ExecUpPost='/usr/bin/ntpd -gq || true'')
Dosen’t set the time

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@zy01 ~]# cd /etc/netctl
[root@zy01 netctl]# cat eth0
Description='A basic static ethernet connection'
Interface=eth0

#Routes=('192.168.0.0/24 via 192.168.1.2')
Gateway='192.168.1.1'
DNS=('192.168.1.1')

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'IP6='dhcp' works with netcfg and 3.8.10-1')

If I don't use IP6=dhcp my router can't supply IPV6 nameservers

That is an oddity. IPv4 works perfectly as expected until IP6=dhcp then? Am I reading/understanding that right?

Yes both IPV4 addresses work until you add IP6=dhcp
I also tried IP6=’dhcp’
I forgot to mention that even with IP6=dhcp the Ethernet port doesn’t use DHCP for the IPv6 address.
