Remove both.

Well, even with both removed my xbmc won't start but locks up the whole device. It used to work until around when the header package conflict started.

I know this package works on cubox i, utilite, and wandboard.
On a clean install add only xbmc-imx-git
The only other thing is put these rules in /etc/udev.d/rules/ http://myplugbox.com/cbi/99-imx.rules
Start with
systemctl start xbmc
Wandboard and cuboxi need the -dt kernel, utilite the latest kernel

When I start xbmc using systemctl (so under the xbmc user) HDMI-CEC is non-functional because of wrongly set up permissions.

When I start xbmc as root the gui works and also hdmi-cec. But at this moment I am unable to play movies. The time starts ticking and I can hear the sound, but no picture. XBMC log file gives me errors like this:
