[GNOME] Incomplete 3.12 packages

Postby derekstavis » Wed Apr 16, 2014 5:08 pm

Today I've issued a `pacman -Syu` and got gnome/gnome-extra packages
upgraded from 3.10 to 3.12, but when I rebooted gdm doesn't shown up.

I have checked the packages and some of them hasn't updated to 3.12.

Is this a common scenario? There shouldn't be a dependency-check mechanism that prevents this problem?

Could you please list the packages this happened to?

It does look like there were a few oddities in the build system, and those are being resolved currently (gnome-shell and gdm)

Yes, this looks there were some circular dependencies, which occasionally happen upstream, but aren't documented. This is in the farm at the moment to fix those.
