Converting root to BTRFS

I just dd'ed Arch image to SD card and resized the partition with Gparted to take the entirety of its 8GB.

However, it is ext4, and I would like to use BTRFS instead. Can I simply convert it and it will still boot in Raspberry, or do I need to do something more?

You'd probably want to make sure that the filesystem is built into the kernel and not a module, or it would be pretty hard to boot off that.

And how is it in the kernel inside the latest Arch ARM image for Raspberry?

Yes, but that would require me running Raspberry, and I do not have it yet. I wanted to know if I can prepare it before putting it in.

Turns out btrfs is in the Arch ARM kernel by default, so after converting the partition and then changing the appropriate settings in txt config files and fstab, it booted without glitch upon first try.
