Twice using Solid Run's "Ignition" Installer, twice using a "make-sd" file and twice using the method described in the ArchLinux pages
Of the six tries, the two using Ignition were the most successful (at least it booted), however on the first try most of the ALSA and other sound files were missing and on the second try, a good chunk of the video files were missing, so I went from no sound to no X-server (sometimes you just can't win

With both the attempts using the "make-sd" method, the box began to boot, but half way through it started to shut down CPU's until the process ground to a halt.
With the ArchLinux method, it would not even attempt to boot.
Using the exactly the same hardware I had no troubles getting operational on the first try with Geexbox and OpenELEC.
What am I doing wrong ? Is there a 4th install method i can try ?
