Installed Arch on NSA-320 - SWAP on file or partition?

Postby ramo » Wed Aug 26, 2015 6:42 am

Hi,

thanks for the wonderful installer
http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/zyxel-nsa320#qt-platform_tabs-ui-tabs2

Arch runs and I already installed some basic packages... But before I start to use the device where's still one important question:

Why does the installer NOT create a swap partition or a swap file?

Do I have to add swap space?

Is the a documentation about the first steps AFTER using a ARM-Installer like http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/zyxel-nsa320#qt-platform_tabs-ui-tabs2?

Regards,

Ralf

Because we don't insist on you having swap. That's not a choice for the distribution to make.

If you want swap, add swap.
