[SOLVED][RPI2][Kodi Krypton] Playing any video causes crash

Hi all,

New forum member here (very old Arch user ).

I have a Raspberry Pi which I use with Kodi.
Following the wikis, using Jarvis version (package kodi-rbp) everything works flawlessly.

After some time I decided to finally try out the next version Krypton (package kodi-rbp-git).
Everything works fine except when playing videos. Kodi hangs then generates a crash log.
An assertion fails which is located in ffmpeg's libavcodec.

Was anyone able to make Kodi Krypton work on an RPi2 B with Arch ARM?

BTW, using omxplayer the video plays properly.

Was able to make it work by adding some udev rules.

Interesting that you needed to modify something at all... I have an RPI2 using kodi-rbp-git and everything seems to be working even with those being root:root.

EDIT: I'm mistaken... after trying various formats I too get this error on some files. For example, an older avi encoded with the DIV3 codec.
