Raspberry Pi 4 5 GHz WiFi channel limited for me

Postby graysky » Thu Jun 11, 2020 10:24 am

My Pi4 cannot connect to my home WiFi if I am using channel 149 for 5GHz but it connects just fine to a lower channel such as 40. Is this a known limitation of the hardware? Running Arch ARM using iwd or wpa_supplicant. Neither works to find my SSID if the channel is on a higher value such as 149 but both work on channel 40.

According to iw on the Pi, it should support all channels:

Install crda from the official repositories, then edit /etc/conf.d/wireless-regdom and uncomment the one for your country. The change will take effect after a reboot. Should help.
