[linux-rpi 5.15.18] Ethernet and USB ports not working

Hello, since I updated Raspberry Pi 2 to linux-rpi 5.15.8, the Ethernet and USB ports do not work anymore.

To me this problem seems similar to this: https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/pull/5863

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the latest upgrade of the linux-firmware package broke my RPi 3B installation. After running an upgrade with pacman and issuing a reboot, neither my USB ports nor my Ethernet port are working. Sadly, I did not have WiFi configured. I am stuck at the login prompt asking for my credentials. Is there anything I can do? Mouse/Keyboard/SSH are obviously not an option as the ports are dead.

Is this a known issue? Maybe it is related to this.

Please try linux-rpi 5.15.18-6 when it hits your mirror.

I can't try anything, the usb ports are dead, so is the ethernet port so I can't SSH into the RPi. I just see the video output on my TV screen.

You can recover with by chrooting and manually downgrading or upgrading.

My Pi2 also fails to boot after updating today. There is also another thread about this. Unfortunately, bad updates causing boot failure are very frequent nowadays.
