[iConnect] u-boot upgrade

Postby tmtben » Tue Jun 28, 2011 7:20 pm

Hi,

I tried to upgrade u-boot (with a self compiled u-boot.bin file).

But it fails :-(
u-boot did not work anymore, I can't get console access anymore.
The iconnect imager did not work anymore too.

Any idea?
Is my iconnect really dead?

Thanks,
Ben

You should never outright flash something you just compiled. You can always tftp the new image into memory and boot that location. Your only hope at this point is likely JTAG recovery.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('kmihelich', 'Y')ou should never outright flash something you just compiled. You can always tftp the new image into memory and boot that location. Your only hope at this point is likely JTAG recovery.

Thanks for your answer.
I didn't know that I could run u-boot from RAM (instead of flash, as I did).
Which kind of JTAG adapter can I use now?
