After installing Alarm ethaddr is different

After running all the steps in the guide without errors at least. I rebooted the devices as said and then it did not come back with the ethaddr I configured it with in the outlined steps. Can anyone explain the difference between the one i set during the installation and the one i see now with: ip link show eth0 ?

I have the same problem. The ethaddr command during setup seems not working.

It doesn't bother me. Just want to make sure I didn't do anything wrong.
