My plug is still set without udev-automount so I actually call a mount() in the rc.local
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'proled orange
swapon /dev/sda3
sleep 5
mount /dev/sda1 /media/Harddrive
sleep 5
##the rest of my crap since starting daemons
##before the Harddrive mounted would cause
##problems
proled green')

Try was WHSE posted, but if you're stubborn like me, call mounts in the rc.local.

Hmm for some reason after I updated (today) the auto mount stopped working for my external drives. Anyway slycat your suggestion worked perfectly. Thanks for the unsolicited help!

No I got it I think :)
Thank you all for the great and fast help!
My biggest mistake was a wrong line in an old samba config which took my /media folder instead of /media/hardrive as share drive. That was the reason because the drive size was shown "wrong".

My idea behind the strange fstab was as follows;
because the drives weren't recognized and mounted automatically and somehow I failed to set up udev (viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1484), google led me to the mysterious fstab. which actually worked somehow as it was...
Thank you for the explanation, now I'm using slycats solution and it seems to work. Also I removed the fstab entry.

Again, thank you very much :)

Oh ok now I see thanks for the link. But mounting them in the in the rc.local saves me one extra reboot after a power loss. I went from 3 to 2 :D . It should probably only be one but for some reason when I use my hard drive based ALARM build after a power loss it boots into the stock linux of pogoplug, if I reboot from within that linux version it boots fine off of the hard drive. For some reason it doesn't do this on my backup flash drive.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'P')eople never read ;)

I have read it, but I'm stubborn and don't like change :lol:
I am the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" type so I've left my rc.local as it was in the beginning since you figured out how to pwn the oxnas.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ant129', 'F')or some reason it doesn't do this on my backup flash drive.

Could be that the flash drive boots faster than the HDD? :?:
But if that were the case I don't think it would ever boot. Not sure on this one.
