GFH 2TB: Kernel not starting

Postby Nik » Tue May 22, 2012 6:29 pm

Hello, I was reading several posts about my problem, and tried to use te given information for my problem, but I am not able to get my GFH running again.

I was doing the archlinux install step by step (http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... oflex-home)
It was working till step 17 (You need to set your MAC address to the what's on the sticker on the bottom of the device)
also step 18 was bringing an error, and the message that I have to reboot, to set MAC address.
I was not doing the next steps and did the reboot, which was displayed. Now I am only able to get into uboot via netcat, but it seems that the kernel is not able to get startet, maybe because I was not doing this command "tune2fs -L "rootfs" /dev/sda1"

1) Is there a possibility to do, the lasts steps from marvell uboot?
2) Which other possibilites may help to make my GFH running again?

Hope someone can help me

thx Nik

1) Check the output of the kernel's netcat
2) Attach the device to a ext2/3 speaking system, via USB or SATA and use `tune2fs -L "rootfs" /dev/sdZ1` where Z is the appropriate.
