I am fairly new to the Linux World, but I am eagerly trying to learn. Most of my time with Linux has been spent with Ubuntu and Edubuntu, as well as Raspian with my RPi. But, I am trying to branch out and learn other Distros, and this has led me here. I have also built a small HTPC that I plan on installing XBMCuntu on, but I haven't installed it yet. I managed to get a Pogoplug E02, and I have been trying to figure out my best plan of action.
Which brings up my question - what is the advantage of installing archlinux ARM on my Pogoplug? I am in no way trying to troll or be disrespectful in any way, this is a genuine question. I have tried the Pogoplug software with success, and I haven't been able to find a clear advantage to installing Linux and possibly Samba, so I humbly ask if someone can point me in the right direction. I managed to install Debian on the Pogoplug, and I am planning on switching that to ARM. I have seen blogs about using ARM and Samba in conjunction with Sickbeard on the device, but what else can I do with it?
TIA for your time and comments/suggestions!
